WELCOME TO RESET EFT THE HOME

To receive support from Movewell Home Physio, you must already have been assessed by a qualified healthcare professional, such as your GP, Physiotherapist, Orthopaedic Consultant, or Clinician, and have been given a prescribed exercise or rehabilitation programme to follow at home. This ensures that your treatment plan is appropriate for your condition and that I can work safely with you to help you carry out your exercises correctly, confidently, and consistently. My role is to support you with your prescribed programme, guide your technique, encourage progress, and help you achieve the best possible results from your rehabilitation.
A year after the CSP warned that the expansion of surgical hubs risked outpacing rehabilitation provision, a new NHS England report has exposed worrying variation in how patients access rehab following hip and knee replacement surgery – with support still differing depending on where people live and how local services are organised.
The NHS England report, Understanding rehabilitation provision following hip and knee joint replacement, found considerable variation in referral pathways, rehab quality, digital support and coordination between surgical and community services.
The CSP contributed to the report alongside NHS England’s Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) programme, the British Orthopaedic Association and Edge Health.
The findings suggest that while most surgical hubs now have referral routes into community musculoskeletal (MSK) rehab services, significant inconsistencies remain in how rehabilitation is delivered and accessed across England.

Once your wound has fully healed, gentle daily massage can soften the scar, reduce tightness and calm sensitivity.
Lightly tapping or stroking the scar area with different textures, like a soft cloth, can help retrain the healing nerves and calm the brain’s response.
Keeping the skin supple with a gentle plain cream or oil helps.
If part of your knee stays numb, take extra care when kneeling or using heat or cold packs, as you may not feel a burn or bump the same way.
